Kamanchi Sly’s razor-sharp bars over DJ Supreme’s unrelenting production created something so raw, so aggressive, it earned comparisons to Public Enemy’s It Takes a Nation. Ice-T heard it and signed them on the spot. Warner Bros didn’t know what to do with it — never even released it stateside. Their loss.
