Description
Rock never died. Hip-hop just plugged it into a bigger amp.
The two have been trading DNA since the beginning. Run-DMC called themselves the King of Rock in 1985, then kicked the wall down with Aerosmith on “Walk This Way” a year later. Rick Rubin was producing LL Cool J’s Radio and Slayer’s Reign in Blood out of the same Def Jam orbit. Public Enemy flipped Slayer’s “Angel of Death” for “She Watch Channel Zero?!”, then ran “Bring the Noise” back with Anthrax in ’91.
This hoodie wears that lineage across the chest: arena-rock lettering, red and gold, a lightning bolt splitting HIP from HOP. Same attitude, both sides of the crossover. Loud, uncompromising, built to move a crowd, and heavy enough for the cold-weather shows.
