DDG Dismisses Soulja Boy’s Boxing Challenge as Heroin Rant in Halle Bailey Feud
On Sunday night (May 18), rapper Soulja Boy, best known for his 2007 hit “Crank That (Soulja Boy)”, went on Instagram Live and issued a boxing challenge to fellow artist and streamer DDG. This clash follows allegations that DDG assaulted Halle Bailey earlier this month, leading her to seek a court order.
Soulja Boy dared DDG to prove his fighting skills, inviting Adin Ross to organize the match. “You know how to fight, right? You a boxer, right? Let’s get in the f###### ring, b#### ass n####,” he shouted. He threatened to “beat the skittles out of his pocket” and took aim at DDG’s relationship with Bailey:
“I’ll beat your b#### ass. Putting your hands on the Little Mermaid, n####. F### you and your whole family.”
That footage has since been removed from the platform. At one point, DDG offered to fund Soulja Boy’s rehab, declaring he would put up cash to help the rapper overcome his alleged narcotics habit.
Streamer Adin Ross acknowledged the feud during his own broadcast.
DDG, who is facing a restraining order request from Bailey, responded on his own livestream with a blunt diagnosis of Soulja Boy’s behavior. “Soulja Boy on another heroin rant. We gotta get that man clean. That heroin is f###### him up,” he stated, adding:
“Soulja Boy you can’t fight, so stop tryna act like you wanna fight me, n####. You just talking s###. You was supposed to fight Chris Brown five years ago, n#### still ain’t do it.”
A clip of DDG’s rebuttal quickly spread across social media. Their feud traces back to last week, when Soulja Boy sided with Bailey on Twitter, accusing DDG of abuse. “You a b#### ass n#### for putting yo hands on Halle,” he wrote. “Lil n#### @pontiacmadeddg if I catch u I’m beating the f## out u.”
DDG fired back, mocking Soulja Boy’s career and teeth: “Soulja Boy is poor. He’s poor. Ain’t cranked that since we was yay high, buddy. I will buy you. Couldn’t get next to me. We know you got crackhead teeth under them veneers.” He branded Soulja’s comments as opportunistic: “It’s just certain n#### that was like saying s### just to feed off your misfortune. You don’t want to go to war with me on this internet.”
On tour this week, Soulja Boy continued to taunt DDG, instructing the crowd to chant “F### DDG” during his set. User clips circulated on X and TikTok, fuelling more commentary.
