MC Ren on the pen for most of it, with Ice Cube and The D.O.C. filling in the rest. Eric Wright wasn’t even a rapper before N.W.A. He was the money. Then that high, cocky, untouchable voice hit “We Want Eazy” and “Eazy-er Said Than Dunn,” and the man bankrolling the movement became its face.

No radio push, no TV love, and the record still went multi-platinum on word of mouth and car speakers. It closes with an extended remix of “Boyz-n-the-Hood,” the 1987 single that started Ruthless in the first place. This hoodie carries the full Eazy-Duz-It artwork: the lightning, the flames, the crew posted up behind the CEO. Golden-era gangsta rap at its most unapologetic.
