Description
“Ridin’ dirty” was part of the American lexicon before most people even knew the album it came from.
In 1996, Bun B and Pimp C dropped Ridin’ Dirty out of Port Arthur, Texas — thick, syrupy production built by Pimp C himself, soul samples chopped low and slow, two voices that never once stepped on each other in eleven years of recording together. It wasn’t built for radio. It was built for the trunk, for candy paint rolling through Houston at 15 miles an hour, for a regional sound the coasts hadn’t caught up to yet.
This shirt honors the record that proved the South had something to say years before “Dirty South” was a marketing term. Before Houston had a seat at the table, UGK was already running the block. Every trunk-rattling Texas rap record since — screwed, chopped, or otherwise — owes this album a nod.
