Doja Cat, J Balvin & Tems Ignite First FIFA Club World Cup Halftime Show
Global pop star Doja Cat will headline the inaugural halftime show at the FIFA Club World Cup final, taking place on Saturday, July 13 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. She will perform alongside reggaeton icon J Balvin and Grammy-nominated singer Tems.
This marks the first time a musical performance will feature mid-game at this competition, adopting a Super Bowl–style format that blends live instrumentation, choreography and advanced stage design. FIFA has partnered with Global Citizen on the show, and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin serves as creative director for the stage production and worldwide broadcast.
Fans around the globe can tune in free via DAZN. Colombian star J Balvin said, “From Medellín to MetLife – I’m honored to headline the first-ever halftime show of the FIFA Club World Cup final,” he said. “It’s a historic moment, for me, for Latin culture and for every kid who dreams big.”
Nigerian singer-songwriter Tems added, “We’re going to bring the world together for a beautiful moment,” she said. “To celebrate football, feel the unity that music brings, and improve the lives of millions of children through the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund. I can’t wait – see you at the Club World Cup final.”
The halftime showcase supports Global Citizen’s goal of raising $100 million to fight extreme poverty and boost education and sports projects for youth globally.
Reuters notes grants from the Education Fund will back classroom resources and local football programs in underserved communities, giving children more opportunities.
The 2025 tournament will be the most expansive edition so far, spanning 11 venues in the United States from June 14 to July 13 and featuring 32 elite clubs from across the globe.
It serves as a key lead-in to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be staged by the U.S., Mexico and Canada.
